There are over 1.5 MILLION
orphans in Kenya alone, and the numbers are increasing every day. Of course,
HIV and AIDS are a huge contributing factor. It’s difficult to imagine the
need in Kenya until someone experiences it. Girls in Kenya who are
orphaned have little hope that they will attain a bright future. They are
often times abused, raped, and made to be modern day slaves in the homes of
remaining relatives. They are denied education because of their
circumstances, and in many cases, they are forced to beg on the streets, and
so they are viewed as a nuisance by the community as if they chose to be orphans! Help us give these girls a
future and a hope. |
